resource center
Every third Saturday of the month, LA Neighbors for Neighbors hosts a Resource Center at Saint Bede's Church in Mar Vista. Our unhoused neighbors live disconnected from services and are constantly displaced by the City of L.A. through violent sweeps. The Resource Center is an opportunity to bring folks back together, provide a broad range of supplies and services in one place, and build community between housed and unhoused neighbors on the Westside. We hope you'll join us!
the event
The Resource Center takes place the third Saturday of the month in the parking lot of Saint Bede's Episcopal Church in Mar Vista (3590 Grand View Blvd). Set-up begins at 8am, the event itself runs from 10am to 2pm, and volunteers take down and store all the supplies and equipment by around 3pm.
Each month, we welcome about 50 volunteers, 50 service providers and 50-75 guests. Resources and services include: breakfast, lunch and refreshments, street medicine, harm reduction, hygiene, phones, social services, caseworkers, ticket clinic/legal services, ID services (including birth certificates, out of state IDs and vouchers to obtain California IDs), CalFresh/food stamps, mental health, hairdresser, safe parking, employment, bike repair, transit passes, and more.
Our community space at the center of the event includes tables and chairs for people to eat lunch together, an arts and makers' space, a library with books and know-your-rights materials, and a "Chill Space" with a comfy rug and pillows.
Volunteers staff the various service stations and a team of volunteer drivers transports people to the event from encampments and motels across the Westside. Click HERE for more details on what volunteers do.

service providers
We're lucky to have an incredible group of service providers who regularly join the Resource Center so that unhoused neighbors can access a broad range of services all in one place. If you are a service provider interested in helping out, or if you know of a service provider you'd like to put us in touch with, please contact us!
